Make
I make cakes to order, as well as cookies, cupcakes and other baked things for occasions when a packet of supermarket biscuits isn't quite going to do the job.
Orders can be simple or elaborate. Sometimes there is a very specific idea behind them; sometimes there is simply a date, a flavour and a vague hope that the cake will turn out the way it did in someone's head.
My work
There are also things made from paper and leather: journals, wallets, notebooks, stationery and other objects intended to be used rather than displayed nervously on a shelf. Some are one-offs; some can be made to order. The materials may change, because that is part of the appeal.
Everything here starts with the same fairly straightforward urge: I wanted to make real things. Things you can eat, write in, carry around or give to somebody whose birthday you definitely did not forget.
